Smart takes on Gannett-Belo deal

Thursday’s news that Gannett Co. forged a deal to acquire Belo Corp. for $2.2 billion, in a transaction that would create the fourth-largest owner of network-affiliated TV stations, inspired some very intelligent coverage. Here is a selection:
